Museum of Wagons and Carts
The Museu de Carruatges is located in Vall d’Hebrón Park, in the north of Barcelona and showcases a collection of wagons, carts, coaches and barouches as well as clothing and adornments used by coachmen in the 19th and 20th centuries.
The museum showcases a private collection comprising 46 exhibits including wagons and everyday and luxury barouches which, together with some 600 accessories, adornments and clothing used by carters and coachmen, give us an insight into this historic means of transport.
The company Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas, S.A. owns the collection which has been brought together on the initiative of the Piera family, whose company carried out street cleaning and refuse collection in the early 20th century.
